USAP Prime Contractor to Hold “Industry Days” Conferences for Upcoming Antarctic Infrastructure Modernization for Science (AIMS) Projects

Leidos Innovations Corporation (Leidos), who provides logistical support to the National Science Foundation (NSF) managed U.S. Antarctic Program, is holding two upcoming “industry days”. Leidos is encouraging prime and lower-tier subcontractors who are interesting in learning more about projects and acquisition under the Antarctic Infrastructure Modernization for Science (AIMS) program, to attend the upcoming conferences. The AIMS program is a large, multi-phase program that consists of four major construction projects, three of them design-build (DB) and one design-bid-build (DBB).

Leidos anticipates soliciting for a single-award contract to one subcontractor and will issue task orders for each individual project, as funding becomes available. Funding to support these activities has not yet been appropriated and is not guaranteed.

The subcontractor ultimately selected by Leidos will only be in a direct contractual relationship with Leidos, not the U.S. Government. U.S. Government consent for each subcontract may be required subject to the provisions of FAR 52.244-2, which is incorporated in Leidos’ prime contract with NSF.

The industry day conferences will take place on June 13, 2017, and August 15, 2017, in Centennial, CO. Advance registration is required to attend the conferences. For more detailed information, please visit the solicitation synopsis on the FedBizOpps website.
