The purpose of this Master Plan is to identify both constraints and opportunities for future redevelopment of Palmer Station
and to serve as a guide for that development. The Palmer Master Plan recognizes the physical constraints of the existing site,
including topography, local climate, and logistics, and then develops an energy and operationally efficient plan that will support
continuing and evolving scientific research.
